Team Connolly and InCommunities Driving Energy Efficiency for Nearly 3,000 Homes in Bradford.

We’re delighted to announce that Team Connolly has secured a significant new contract for retrofit and associated works with existing client InCommunities.

This project initially running for three years with an option to extend for a further two, represents an annual investment of £10 million, directly contributing to warmer, greener, and more affordable homes for residents.

The works are part of the government’s Warm Homes Social Housing Fund – Wave 3, supplemented by our client’s own budgets, demonstrating a shared dedication to tackling fuel poverty and reducing carbon emissions for thousands of homes across Bradford.

Over the initial three-year period, we’ll be tasked with delivering crucial Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) improvements to approximately 2,886 properties in Bradford

Works will include measures such as:

  • low energy lighting
  • upgrades of existing boilers and heating controls
  • replacement windows
  • various insulation solutions (external wall, cavity wall, internal wall, loft, roof)
  • Draft proofing and air sealing
  • Air source heat pumps
  • Solar PV

An improved EPC rating signifies a more energy-efficient home, leading to lower energy bills and a reduced carbon footprint for residents.

Our decarbonisation team will be carrying out comprehensive retrofit measures, designed to meet the rigorous PAS 2035 standards. This “whole house” approach ensures that improvements are holistic and sustainable, addressing insulation, ventilation, heating systems, and more to deliver lasting benefits.

This continued partnership reflects the trust and success built through our previous collaborations. We are incredibly proud to be a part of a project that not only upgrades homes but also directly improves the comfort, health, and financial well-being of thousands of families in Yorkshire.

Chris Connolly, CEO of Connolly, commented on this new contract:

“Our continued partnership reflects the strong trust and successful collaboration we’ve built InCommunities.  This project is a fantastic example of how targeted investment, combined with our expertise, can make a real difference to people’s lives. We’ll be working in close to 3,000 homes, introducing measures that will not only reduce energy bills for residents but also contribute substantially to the region’s decarbonisation goals.

We are incredibly proud to be part of a project that not only upgrades homes but also directly enhances the comfort, health, and financial well-being of thousands of families in Yorkshire.

We look forward to delivering exceptional results and making a lasting positive impact in the communities we serve.”
