Keeping you safe

  • Keep children and pets away from the room where work is being done

  • Don’t touch tools and machinery

  • Take care walking across dust sheets or other trip hazards

  • If we need to turn off your electricity or gas, please leave us to turn it back on again rather than trying to do it yourself

  • If you accidentally get a product on your skin such as silicone or paint, wash it immediately with soap and water

Your checklist before we start

  • Clear any clutter away from areas where people will be walking in and out eg stairs, hallway.
  • The same goes for any items in your front or back garden which might get in the way.
  • Take down any curtains or blinds.
  • Remove pictures, ornaments or any other fixtures and fittings close to or on your doors and windows, including stick on doorbells.
  • Make sure you can get to a coat or warm clothes as it might be cold and draughty during this work.
  • If you have a pet, arrange a safe place to keep them away from the work.
  • Make sure you will be around to receive your new keys (or make alternative arrangements with your CLO.)
