Roofing
Most of our roofing programmes take around nine weeks to complete.
What we’re going to be doing
- We’ll put scaffolding up
- In some instances, telephone lines, TV aerials and satellite/digital dishes may need to be removed and refitted
- Repair or replace roofing tiles and ancillary works
- We may have to isolate your boiler if it is vented through your roof
- The scaffolding will be removed
Your checklist before we start
- Clear items out of the roof space or attic of your home to avoid them being damaged by falling debris or bad weather.
- Clear any garden furniture out of the way from front or back gardens. (We’d also be grateful if you could remove any animal poo.)
- Relocate any personal belongings from your garden including plant pots, children’s toys or other items of sentimental value.
- Take down any items fixed to external walls (Christmas lights, hanging baskets, trellis, washing line hooks etc.)
- Please don’t park your vehicle(s) under or near the scaffolding.
- Be aware that there might be some noise, vibration and dust whilst the work is carried out so make alternative arrangements if you definitely need peace and quiet.
- If you have a pet, arrange a safe place to keep them away from the work.
- When you open the loft hatch for the first time following the roof works, please watch out for any falling debris
Anything you’re worried about?
Please talk to your CLO in the first instance. Your site manager can usually help with questions too. If you’re unhappy about any aspect of our service, please tell us and give us the chance to put it right.
